Q
A
What are soap nuts or SoapBerries™?

Soap nuts are not actually a nut. They are the fruit of the Sapindus mukorossi tree, part of the Maple family. This tree is common in tropical climates of both Southern Asia and the Americas. The fruit of this tree has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicines and for cleaning.

Q
A

Are SoapBerries™ safe for children and infants?

Yes. Because SoapBerries™ are natural and gentle, they are safe for babies and children. Just keep them out of reach, since ingesting them may cause sick tummies or choking hazards.

Q
A
How can SoapBerries™ be used for cleaning?

The berries contain saponins, which are natural soaps. Saponins are effective at cleaning away dirt, grime and odors from both body and clothing.

Are SoapBerries™ recommended for sensitive skin?

Yes. Many irritations, reddening and rashes come from skin sensitivities to artificial dyes, fragrances, and chemicals. SoapBerry Solutions™ contain no artificial ingredients, thereby reducing the risk of skin sensitivities.

Q

Q
A
What are the benefits of using SoapBerry Solutions™ products?

SoapBerries are a 100% natural way to achieve clean, fresh-smelling laundry with less expense to your wallet, your skin, and the planet. Also, for every purchase of a SoapBerry product, we donate a month of soap to a family in need.

Q
A

The instructions say to use four SoapBerries per load, but some of my SoapBerries are in pieces. What should I do?

Because of the de-seeding process, many SoapBerries are found in halves. Simply pair up enough half and whole berries to equal four berries. That will be enough SoapBerries to wash four loads of laundry.

Q
A

Do SoapBerries need to dry between wash loads?

No. SoapBerries can go directly from one washing load into the next without drying in between.

Q
A

What if my SoapBerries accidentally go into the dryer?

No problem. The dryer will not damage or activate the SoapBerries, as water is required to release the natural sapponins. Just pull the muslin bag out of the dryer and set aside for your next wash load.

Q
A

What do I do with SoapBerries after four wash loads?

SoapBerries can be composted or thrown away. Simply discard the spent berries and replace them with new ones.
